Who we are and what we do:

This position will serve in the General Sessions and Criminal Court of the 3rd Judicial District, in Morristown, Tennessee representing clients charged with misdemeanors and felony offenses up to and including first degree murder.

Job Overview:

Our office has a complement of 11 attorneys, 4 legal secretaries, 2 investigators, and an office manager with physical offices in Greeneville, Morristown and Rogersville, Tennessee. Most appellate representation in the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals and Tennessee Supreme Court is provided by the attorneys of the Appellate Division of the Tennessee District Public Defenders Conference.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants for this position must possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee

• Superior time management skills

• Highly organized

• Computer literacy

• Must be literate with: Outlook Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Adobe Acrobat
