Responsibilities

Public Consulting Group’s (PCG) Education Consulting service line seeks an experienced illustrator to contribute to our projects. Our team focuses on complex and innovative state- and district-level curriculum and professional development across several content areas and grade bands. Our projects provide educators and students with equitable access to high-quality curriculum that represents the voices and choices of local stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create high quality, engaging illustrations that appeal to the target audience of 5 – 8 year old children.
• Depict African American, Hispanic, and Afro-Latino characters accurately.
• Portray the landscape and character of urban and suburban Texas with authenticity.
• Participate in a rapid development process that includes engagement with multiple stakeholders.
• Implement feedback from stakeholders to edit and finalize illustrations delivery. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience 

• Texas - based Illustrators will be given preference. 
• Expert user of Adobe Illustrator or Illustration software compatible with InDesign. 
• Driven to seek out and use feedback to improve and to grow. 
• College degree or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: Up to $40 per hour. This is a remote, 1099 Independent Contractor role.

Salary : $40
