SALARY:      $75,000 - $85,000 annually, paid out on a weekly basis

ABOUT PTS

PTS Corporation is a Bloomington-based reverse logistics and third-party logistics provider. We support product returns, testing, repair and refurbishment, kitting, fulfillment, inventory management, and warehousing for established consumer brands.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Inventory and Operations Planning Manager converts customer demand, inventory, parts, labor, space, and demonstrated capacity into one executable plan. This position connects production, warehouse, account management, quality, systems, and staffing across two facilities.

The role combines hands-on inventory control with production planning and cross-functional leadership. It suits a manager who can add discipline to a changing operation, make practical decisions with imperfect inputs, and follow issues through to resolution.

REQUIREMENTS

Job Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in operations planning, inventory control, production control, warehouse operations, manufacturing, repair or refurbishment, distribution, or third-party logistics.
• Experience leading people and coordinating work across production, warehouse, customer service, quality, systems, and staffing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to turn forecasts, backlog, material availability, and capacity into an achievable schedule.
• Strong inventory control fundamentals, including cycle counting, transaction accuracy, reconciliation, and root cause corrective action.
• Working knowledge of ERP or warehouse management systems and strong spreadsheet skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Power BI is helpful but not required.
• Clear communication, sound judgment, and the confidence to surface constraints before they become missed commitments.
• A practical, hands-on approach and comfort moving between the floor, operating data, and leadership discussions.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a multi-customer operation, reverse logistics, serial-controlled inventory, repair workflows, program launches, facility moves, or continuous improvement is preferred.

DUTIES: (included, but not limited to)

Essential Duties:

• Build and publish a rolling weekly production and warehouse plan using forecasts, backlog, materials, labor, space, equipment, and actual process capacity.
• Maintain a two-week view of attainable output, shortages, staffing needs, aged work in process, and other constraints. Lead weekly planning and daily exception reviews, recording owners, due dates, and plan changes.
• Own inventory control across both facilities, including cycle count strategy, location accuracy, transaction compliance, reconciliation, and corrective action for recurring discrepancies.
• Coordinate material readiness, replenishment, staging, and transfers with warehouse and production leaders before work is scheduled to run.
• Maintain practical measures for inventory accuracy, schedule attainment, work in process aging, throughput, and labor needs.
• Plan customer launches, program moves, and volume ramps across capacity, labor, layout, materials, equipment, and training readiness.
• Coach supervisors and leads on planning, inventory discipline, handoffs, and root cause problem solving while they retain responsibility for daily execution.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

4. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs

This is an onsite role in an active warehouse and production environment. The manager will move regularly between PTS facilities in Bloomington and may occasionally support extended hours, a second shift, or peak volume activity.

Core Hours:  M – F 6:45am – 3:30pm with a 30-minute meal break.  Additional hours as required to meet production demands
