PTS Refrigeration has an immediate opening for an experienced Supermarket Refrigeration Technician in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
PTS Refrigeration is a commercial HVAC and refrigeration contractor providing 24/7 service throughout Michigan and Ohio, with a primary focus on grocery stores and supermarkets.
We are looking for an experienced, dependable technician who can confidently diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in the field and has hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities
- Service commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, primarily in supermarkets and grocery stores
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain commercial HVAC/R equipment
- Work on equipment and systems including:
-Walk-in coolers and freezers
-Reach-in coolers and freezers
-Self-contained cases
-Coffin, deli, meat, and produce cases
-Condensing units and compressors
-Rooftop units (RTUs)
-Tandem units
-Small and large compressor rack systems
-CO₂ direct expansion rack systems
-Glycol rack systems
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues within HVAC/R systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Accurately document service calls, maintenance, repairs, and work performed
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as an HVAC/R Service Technician
- Strong understanding of commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems
- Experience diagnosing electrical and mechanical HVAC/R issues
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and work plans
- Familiarity with energy management systems (EMS), including Emerson E2, Danfoss, Novar, Micro Thermo, and RDM
- Ability to work independently and effectively troubleshoot equipment in the field
- Availability for a rotating on-call schedule, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
