Our client is seeking a QA/QC Inspector and a QA/QC Supervisor to join their team in San Leandro, CA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Engage with the General Contractor’s Quality Assurance Manager for inspection planning, project compliance, non-conformance management, quality audits.
- Attend weekly project update meetings with the project group including upcoming activities, status and deadlines.
- Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
- Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of QA/QC in conjunction with the project team.
Qualifications:
- Seeking at least 8 years of experience in Quality Control focused on ASME B31 piping codes, industrial and commercial construction, fabrication, welding, non-destructive testing, and/or other similar fields.
- Current certification in accordance with AWS as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
- At least 3 years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
- Proficient understanding of ASME Section IX BP&V Code and experience creating and reviewing welding procedures and welder qualifications.
- Excellent time management and written and spoken communication skills, highly professional, organized, and trustworthy team player.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
Salary : $60 - $70
