A leading infrastructure solutions contractor is seeking a Field Quality Manager to join their team in Linden, New Jersey. This role is responsible for overseeing project quality objectives, executing project-specific quality plans, and ensuring full compliance with internal and contractual quality requirements. What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute Project Quality Management Plans, audit plans, and quality documentation
- Identify quality requirements, standards, and checklists for new and ongoing projects
- Monitor subcontractor performance for adherence to quality specifications
- Lead surveillance activities, systematic audits, and detailed inspections
- Guide project teams on quality procedures, process improvements, and contract obligations
- Support pursuit efforts by contributing quality-related materials for new opportunities
- Ensure corrective actions, lessons learned, and process improvements are implemented
- Review procedures, design documents, test records, and vendor/subcontractor quality submittals
- Manage document control related to quality and ensure proper documentation at job sites
- Oversee non-conformance tracking and resolution
- Partner closely with operations, project management, project controls, and clients on quality matters
Required Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of experience and training
- 10 years’ experience in various aspects of design, surveillance monitoring, and project management
- Strong background in electrical/substation, mechanical, and process piping construction
- Full understanding of ASME codes, hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, and mechanical startup processes
- Experience implementing full Quality Programs and developing inspection test plans
- Leadership experience as a Manager, Superintendent, Project Manager, or Quality Manager/Auditor
- Experience working across multiple states and meeting local AHJ, state, and municipal requirements
- Strong safety and environmental awareness
- Technical expertise related to materials testing, equipment specifications, and compliance standards
- Solid understanding of critical path scheduling
- 30-hour OSHA certification
- CIA, CQA, and additional inspection/testing/welding certifications strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
