Turnaround Cost Engineer
Client: Refinery
Location: El Dorado, AR
Duration: Now- April 2027 could go longer

Role Description:
Position performs tasks associated with managing cost engineering activities including the development and implementation of cost control systems, invoice processing activities, monthly cost reporting, trending, FAC [Forecast at Completion] Analysis, cost variance analysis, funding budgets, accruals, cash flows, contingency drawdown, productivity analysis, and value engineering analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Knowledgeable of standard business cost control procedures and practices
- Will become familiar with and comply with Client's cost control procedures and practices
- Review base cost data, budgets, balance sheets, invoices, timesheets, etc.
- Conduct cost tracking of labor, materials, and other invoices
- Track headcount
- Prepare and issue routine reports
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to managers
- Identify performance improvement opportunities
- Track and maintain cost estimates, man-hour estimates, equipment and material estimates
- Verify the project has a work breakdown structure [WBS] which aligns with the estimate and reporting such findings to management
- Develop the methodology necessary for effective cost control for projects
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in working with business cost data (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline from an accredited institution (preferred)
- Understand and utilize standard auditing requirements
