Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled LAN Administrator to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support and administration, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. This role requires a local candidate within 50 miles of Richmond, as there are no remote options available. The position includes an on-call rotation and requires a proactive individual with excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide desktop support and administration, including troubleshooting and resolving imaging issues for PCs, laptops, tough books, and tablets.
- Configure and test client workstations to utilize VPN access with secure token identification.
- Install and configure software, hardware, and operating systems, including Windows 11 and Office365 products (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot computer issues, including imaging via SCCM and handling large volumes of imaging requests.
- Support cell phones, iPads, HP printers, and OCE plotters as needed.
- Establish internet accessibility, TCP/IP addresses, and internal/external email accounts.
- Support various connectivity requirements, including Ethernet and TCP/IP.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing issues promptly and keeping clients informed.
- Collaborate with team members and manage workload by prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Desktop Technician/Administrator.
- Proficiency in Windows 11, Office365 products, and imaging via SCCM.
- Experience configuring and testing VPN access with secure token identification.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- High School Diploma or Equivalency (required).
- Preference for candidates with experience as a LAN Administrator in a regulated industry.
