Job description:
This role supports a high-priority, Client-wide data privacy compliance initiative operating under strict regulatory deadlines. The PMO is the operational backbone of the program — driving cross-functional alignment, scope governance, and execution accountability across a large, globally distributed team.
This contractor role is critical to the program's success. You will own the application inventory workstream from inception and serve as the connective tissue between the PMO, Legal, Privacy, and cross-functional teams — ensuring that compliance decisions are translated into clear, up-to-date scope and that the program stays on track against its commitments.
Responsibilities:
Application Inventory Management
- Build and maintain a comprehensive, authoritative inventory of all applications across the program that contain or process PII.
- Establish the inventory as the single source of truth for program execution and future audit readiness — ensuring it is accurate, consistently updated, and accessible to all relevant stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and IS&T to validate application data and ensure completeness across all workstreams.
PMO Support — Rectification & Legal Scope
- Serve as the primary PMO point of contact for day-to-day CAC rectification activities — absorbing new asks, tracking closure of objectives, and ensuring the overall program meets its compliance timeline.
- Manage cross-functional legal clarifications and translate final legal and privacy decisions into clearly defined, actionable team scope.
- Maintain all scope documentation across workstreams in real time — ensuring every team is working from the most current and legally validated version.
PMO Tracking & Governance
- Support PMO tracking activities across the program including milestones, risks, and dependencies — flagging issues early and escalating with clear context and recommended actions.
- Contribute to program reporting and status updates, ensuring leadership has accurate and timely visibility into program health.
- Step into critical program delivery support roles as needed to ensure continuity during high-pressure execution windows.
Key Qualifications
- 8 years of senior program or project management experience in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing compliance, data privacy, or regulatory programs — with a clear understanding of how legal decisions translate into system and operational scope.
- Strong track record of building and maintaining program tracking infrastructure — inventories, scope documentation, risk logs, and milestone trackers.
- Ability to manage cross-functional legal and compliance clarifications and drive them to documented, actionable resolution.
- Exceptional communication skills — verbal, written, and presentation — with the ability to work effectively across Legal, Privacy, IS&T, and business stakeholders.
- Solid ability to personally deliver under pressure with high levels of complexity and ambiguity.
- Proven ability to operate independently with minimal direction in a fast-moving program environment.
- Proven ability to drive alignment across large, matrixed organizations on scope, schedule, and resource commitments under tight deadlines.
- Coordinates cross-functional execution of data privacy initiatives with the ability to efficiently translate regulatory changes into system requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills — verbal, written, and executive presentation — with the ability to synthesize complexity for senior leadership audiences.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a relevant field required. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
Additional Requirements
This is an immediate need. The ideal candidate is available to start quickly and can rapidly establish themselves as a trusted operational partner to the PMO. Brings structured thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving gaps before they impact the program. Comfortable navigating ambiguity — particularly in environments where legal and compliance guidance is still evolving — while keeping scope, documentation, and execution firmly on track.
- macOS Proficiency — comfortable working natively in the Client ecosystem including Keynote, Pages, and related productivity tools.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management — excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage relationships across Legal, Privacy, IS&T, and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Project & Change Management — strong command of project management methodologies and change management principles, with the ability to drive adoption of process and scope changes across a complex, cross-functional program.
