Job Description: Strategy Analyst (Contractor – 6-Month Project)
Team: Corporate Strategy & Innovation
Term: ~3-6 months (Contract)
The Corporate Strategy & Innovation team is seeking a Strategy Analyst (Contractor) to support a focused 3 to 6 month project advancing the company’s innovation tracking and reporting capabilities. This role is designed for a self starter with strong analytical skills, excellent organization, and an ability to work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment. Project Scope & Key Deliverables:
- Implement tracking process for start-ups and novel technologies.
- Onboard, set up, and administer early-stage technology tracking software, including configuration and user setup.
- Document and refine the vetting process for new start-ups by developing an evaluation framework and checklist in collaboration with the strategy team and innovation working groups.
- Prepare draft quarterly strategy reports, leveraging research tools, innovation data, and existing templates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Business, or related field preferred).
- At least 2 years of professional work experience.
- Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint, with proven ability to produce high-quality analysis and presentations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with ability to structure ambiguous tasks into clear, actionable deliverables.
- Familiarity with the energy sector (power, utilities, or midstream) strongly preferred.
- Experience with research tools, databases, or innovation tracking software is a plus.
