CNC Machine Operator - C-Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday to Saturday with alternating Wednesdays

PTMW, Inc is seeking a competent CNC Machine Operator to join our pre-fabrication (PFAB) team. The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for using computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions.  The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of finished products. Set up machinery according to specifications provided by blueprints, drawings, or job layouts.  This is a full time, benefits eligible position working 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday through Saturday with alternating Wednesdays in a climate controlled environment.

Essential Functions of the Job

• Load raw materials into machines.
• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of production as needed or as assigned.

• Demonstrated knowledge & proper use of measuring devices such as calipers, square, protractor and reading a machinist scale
• Ability to read blueprints
• Strong mathematic skills including fractional/decimal conversion
• Capable of lifting up to 75lbs
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical capacity test and breath alcohol test.
