Senior Systems Engineer (ACTIVE TS/SCI REQUIRED)

Senior Systems EngineerRole OverviewSenior Systems Engineers guide engineering teams in applying a multi-discipline systems engineering approach across requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis. This work supports the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of GEOINT.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor mid-level and junior-level systems engineers performing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agency environments. Lead planning, analysis, and traceability of user requirements, system architectures, procedures, and problem areas to automate or improve existing systems, including evaluation of cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling limitations. Guide mid-level and junior engineers in developing solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies. Assist the Government in capturing and translating mission and customer requirements into system and capability requirements and solutions. Support the analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and execution programs. Perform systems integration activities. Conduct Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments. Support Government efforts in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design. Operate at an enterprise level integrating multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces within Major Systems Acquisitions across organizational and agency boundaries.Education and ExperienceRequired QualificationsBachelors degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field, or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.Senior-level experience (12 years) in government or industry environments involving:DoD or IC Acquisition ProcessesRequirements ProcessesPPBES ProcessesSystems engineering for large, complex System-of-Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture environments across cloud, on-premise, or hybrid infrastructuresExperience with and understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.Demonstrated knowledge of current NSG, ASG, and NRO enterprises.Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project experience.Previous IC or DoD program or project experience.Previous sensor integration experience.Desired QualificationsMasters degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical or scientific field, including Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other related STEM disciplines.Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including related processes, tools, and languages.Working knowledge of Digital Engineering tools and processes, including Tableau, JIRA, and Confluence.Working knowledge of software development frameworks.INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.Documented work experience in geospatial intelligence.Licensure as a Professional Engineer.Membership or leadership participation in professional organizations such as:ACSMASCEASPRSOGCSAREMUSGIFDemonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems (GIS), geomatics, or related fields.Security ClearanceActive TS/SCI clearance requiredWillingness to sit for a CI polygraph, if requiredOpen to C2C (single-member LLC-type NOT employment agencies!)
