Job Summary: 

 

This position is responsible for managing front door access, performing clerical functions that assist in the efficiency and friendliness of the plant supporting the overall morale. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Sorting, opening, & distributing the daily incoming mail and packages
  • Posting the outgoing mail
  • Managing front door access for job applicants, vendors, visitors and alerting necessary personnel of arrivals
  • Responsible for visitors signing in and out.
  • Maintaining the front office area to a professional standard
  • Assist in the preparation of daily reports and complete Gemba board. 
  • Prepare the offices for visitors the day before arrival.
  • Retrieve necessary items as required externally.  
  • Receive and distribute mail and packages/enter appropriate receipts into the computer system.
  • Greet all visitors and have them sign in and wait in the reception area until the appropriate person receives them. Contact the Plant Manager if OSHA visitors arrive.
  • Distribute math tests to applicants and direct applicants on how to fill out an application.
  • Fill out weekly inventory reports for supplies.
  • Maintain front office area to a professional 5S standard.
  • Completes daily reports assigned and logs training, when issues are found contacts the person responsible for a correction.
  • Prepare the offices the day before visitors, if necessary, create badges and set out necessary meeting supplies.
  • Retrieves necessary items as required, parts, supplies.
  • Duties as requested or reassigned.

 

The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTC Quality Management System and its policies, procedures, and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements: 

  • Working knowledge of all office equipment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Power point outlook word)
  • Excellent time management skills and punctuality
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Good attitude and friendly demeanor  
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.   Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Other Skills and Abilities:  Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as email, ERP system, etc.
