Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material organization
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, and finishing
- Support the installation of rebar, formwork, drywall, flooring, and other structural components according to blueprints and schematics
- Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of work
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for masonry, stucco, roofing, and renovation projects
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site
- Collaborate with team members on various construction activities including framing, carpentry, masonry, and restoration efforts
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping techniques
- Experience with rebar installation, metal stud framing, drywall installation, caulking, plastering, and flooring is a plus
- Comfortable operating power tools and heavy equipment safely
- Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and protocols
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
