Molding Technician

The Molding Technician is responsible for running various molding machines and secondary equipment.

• RESPONSIBILITIES

**

**

• Work with injection molding machines and blow molding equipment, reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Monitor process and product quality.
• Maintain and improve Quality.
• Work with Process Engineering to reduce downtime and scrap and improve process efficiency.
• Identify molding problems due to tooling problems and report them to Supervisor.
• Participate in maintaining tooling and equipment thru PM Program.
• Record downtime and scrap and changeover time.
• REQUIRED SKILLS

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
• Knowledge of blow molding machines

• EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

**

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience is required with at least 2 years of machine operating is required. Experience using hand tools is preferred.

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

**

• Work requires walking, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
• Work requires working under high and low temperatures at certain times.
