What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at PT Services LLC?
The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients to improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, mobility, and safety. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
- Provide skilled treatment for ADLs, upper extremity rehabilitation, coordination, and fine motor skills
- Address balance deficits, fall risk, and functional mobility limitations
- Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, and age-related conditions
- Document evaluations, daily notes, and progress reports in compliance with Medicare and insurance guidelines
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and injury prevention
- Collaborate with physical therapists and clinical staff to maximize outcomes
