Description:As a Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper you will perform bookkeeping services for a variety of individual and business clients in a variety of industries. Enjoy a professional and dynamic work environment while making work/life balance a priority.What you will do:Prepare bookkeeping for a variety of clients on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basisPrepare and process client payroll and payroll taxes (W2, 1099, Quarterly returns, Annual returns)Perform general accounting duties including entering transactions and reconciling general ledger, credit card, and cash accounts.Verify, complete and reconcile payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.Monitor accounts receivable for accuracy of financial reportingUtilize various accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, CFS)Prepare and file sales tax returns for business clientsWhat we look for:3 years professional bookkeeping or accounting experienceExcellent communication, attention to detail, strong analytical skillsProficient with accounting software, and ability to learn new systems quicklyExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsProactive problem solving and ability to self-manage projectsMulti-State Payroll experienceWhat we offer:Tremendous opportunity for advancement within a rapidly growing professional services firmOngoing informal and formal training and developmentVery competitive compensation401(k) and medical benefitsFirm sponsored continuing educationRequirements:
