Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (Contract)

Position Overview
A regional medical center in Shiprock, New Mexico is seeking one (1) Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary and internal medicine care in an outpatient and hospital-based clinical environment.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver patient-centered care to a diverse population while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams. The Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions in an internal medicine setting.
Key Responsibilities

Provide primary and internal medicine care to adult patients

Conduct patient assessments, examinations, and diagnostic evaluations

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies

Develop and implement treatment and care management plans

Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice

Provide preventive care and health education

Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements
Patient Care May Include

Minimum Qualifications
-
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing
-
Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) with Internal Medicine or Adult-Gerontology focus

Active unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in any U.S. state

DEA registration

Current BLS certification
-
Ability to obtain facility credentialing and privileging
Preferred Experience

Experience practicing in internal medicine or primary care settings
