Lead Engineer (Equity Partner) to Build the Psynautics MVP
We're looking for a full-stack developer (5 years experience) to join us in building Psynautics - a platform to advance the science of mind and brain through self-discovery and social connection.
What we’re building:
A mobile platform that records brain data from neurotech devices while users describe their experiences in real time. Each “session” generates a snapshot - a personalized report that blends neural and narrative data. Over time, these snapshots form a living dataset: citizen neuroscience that empowers people to explore consciousness through direct experience.
We already have the foundation - a React Native project and a Muse SDK ready for integration. The goal for the MVP is simple but powerful: Let users complete a session and automatically generate their first snapshot report in their profile. From there, we’ll scale toward social discovery, similarity metrics, and AI-assisted “reality mapping” - where your mind becomes the interface.
About the role:
- Build and deploy the Psynautics MVP (React Native Muse SDK integration).
- Collaborate closely with product design lead.
- Define architecture that can grow into a social / AI platform.
- Fully remote, flexible schedule.
Compensation:
This is an equity-only partnership, with a trial phase (1–2 months) focused on building the MVP. Successful collaboration would transition into a lead engineer role with vested ownership as Psynautics grows and seeks funding.
