About the Role
PsychPlus is seeking an experienced Budget Manager to build and lead our budgeting and financial planning function. This is a high-impact opportunity for a finance professional who has successfully developed or significantly improved budgeting and forecasting processes in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will partner with operational and clinical leaders to drive financial planning, forecasting, variance reporting, and strategic decision-making while ensuring the integrity of financial data across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead the annual operating, personnel, and capital budgeting process.
- Develop rolling forecasts and periodic reforecasts to support organizational planning.
- Prepare detailed variance analyses and provide actionable financial insights.
- Build business cases to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
- Create executive-level financial reports and dashboards.
- Support month-end close and financial reporting activities.
- Improve financial data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Partner with operational and clinical leaders to explain financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Manage ADP department cleanup and support ADP-to-Sage General Ledger integration.
- Oversee provider travel and expense reporting processes.
- Generate and maintain financial reports within Sage and related financial systems.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in budgeting, financial planning, accounting, or corporate finance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling.
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within healthcare, hospitals, physician practices, or clinical services.
- MBA or MHA preferred.
- Experience with Sage, ADP, and financial planning/reporting tools.
- Proven success designing or significantly improving budgeting and forecasting processes.
