About the Role

We’re looking for an Associate General Counsel to join our growing legal team. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site role in Houston, TX. You will provide strategic legal guidance across all aspects of our operations, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting business growth in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate, regulatory, and healthcare compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, employment contracts, and service agreements.
• Ensure adherence to federal and state laws, including HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
• Develop and implement internal policies and compliance training programs.
• Manage litigation and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
• Monitor and interpret changes in healthcare law and regulations impacting the organization.
• Advise leadership on risk management strategies and legal implications of business decisions.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas (in good standing).
• 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in healthcare or corporate law.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX.

Additional Information

• Expected Base Pay: $130,000 – $170,000 annually at the commencement of employment.
• Base pay will be determined individually and impacted by experience and qualifications.
