SUMMARY:
The Video Production Graphic Designer has the primary duty of performing work that requires imagination, originality, and talent in a graphic design creative endeavor with an additional emphasis on video production (skill entails reviewing film footage to determine which shots to include in the final film, cutting film to shorten shots, arranging the manipulated film in a specific sequence and applying other elements such as music, sound effects and computer-generated images to create a finished product).
Responsible in producing creative concepts, designs, layouts, and digital video production. Prepares final creative for appropriate marketing channels, focused primarily on digital and video, but some print design skills are required to best support the creative needs of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of this position include but are not limited to:
- Teams up with stakeholders and content creators to design/develop marketing assets for PAR marketing channels. Able to collaborate and use ideas from many sources to build creative work that satisfies the stakeholder’s objectives/strategy.
- Uses latest versions of design software to execute specific projects, including campaigns, digital banners, logos, digital ads, social media content, print and videos.
- Meets all deadlines for assigned projects and informs Creative Director of any problems that may occur or challenges that develop that might compromise ability to meet deadlines or successfully complete projects.
- Collaborates with Creative Director, Art Director, Creative team, IT staff, Content Creator, and other marketing team members to develop multimedia content with a strong focus in video production.
- Has the capability to design sales collateral, marketing campaign assets and other graphic design elements in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
- Can demonstrate experience in Adobe Creative Suite programs with a proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A digitally focused creative designer, that has the ability to create media that delivers a compelling conceptual story. Knowledge of the principles of video production, graphic design, design theory, color theory, typography, and some print design. Attention to detail; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to conduct and handle multiple projects within tight deadlines; and willingness to learn.
Intermediate software skills with an aptitude in Adobe Creative Suite. Either working towards or completed a bachelor’s degree in fine art, graphic design, graphic media, or similar. Video production certification or training in motion graphics would be an asset.
