Psychological and Substance Abuse Services, Inc., is seeking a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) to join our team in Moreno Valley, CA. As a member of the PSAS team, you'll be an integral part of our vision to help clients feel empowered to live the life they've always envisioned.
As a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC), you will treat a diverse range of clients from various populations and a wide variety of mental health conditions. PSAS provides psychological services, including diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy, for individuals, families, and couples. From clinical operations, including credentialing, contracting, and billing, we provide administrative support that enables our providers to focus on what matters: delivering high-quality care.
This position follows an in-person work model designed to support collaboration, productivity, and a healthy work-life balance by creating clear boundaries between work and personal time. You see the clients you want to achieve your financial goals, document, and go home.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couple, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings as needed.
- Uphold client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Participate in quality assurance and ongoing professional development.

Compensation (Piece Rate Worker)
- Pay: $60.00-$70.00 paid per session, appropriate administrative time, and California-required breaks paid at varied rates.
- Schedule: Minimum of 15 client sessions per week. The administrative team coordinates scheduling based on your provided availability and commitment to maintaining consistent client care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field.
- Have a clear, active, unrestricted, and independent license (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) in the state of California.
- Malpractice insurance (minimum $1M/$3M coverage).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals, including adults, children/adolescents, and families.
- Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Valant Practice Management (or other EHRs).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness.
- Proficiency with a variety of clinical approaches (CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.).
- Bilingual skills are highly valued.
- Previously or currently contracted with insurance companies.
