Job Description:
PsychPlus is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to support our clinical team and ensure a smooth, patient-centered care experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and confident in both administrative and clinical tasks. This role plays an essential part in maintaining clinic flow and delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, patient history, and medical information
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
- Perform EKGs, labs, and other diagnostic tests (as applicable)
- Support care coordination based on provider instructions
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Verify insurance and patient information
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
- Handle patient communication, follow-ups, and call triage
- Manage medication refills and prior authorization requests (if needed)
Qualifications:
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on state)
- Prior experience in a medical or behavioral health clinic preferred
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
