Join an established behavioral health team serving patients with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) in collaborative outpatient settings.
Psychiatric Medical Practitioners, Inc. (PMPI) is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists to provide outpatient psychiatric care within community clinic settings. Providers will work with patients experiencing complex psychiatric conditions while collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams.
PMPI has been providing psychiatric services to community clinics, FQHCs, and behavioral health programs for over 22 years, helping expand access to mental health care for underserved populations.
Position Overview
This role focuses on providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management for patients with serious and persistent mental illness, including schizophrenia spectrum disorders, bipolar disorder, and complex mood disorders.
Providers work closely with therapists, primary care providers, case managers, and behavioral health teams to support comprehensive patient care.
Established patient panels with strong administrative and clinical support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Treat patients with serious mental illness (SMI) including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Participate in coordinated care within outpatient clinic settings
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Active California Medical License required
- Active California DEA registration required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Experience treating SMI populations preferred
- Strong commitment to community behavioral health
