As the Nurse Practitioner, you would perform acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents. As an advanced practice nurse, this role involves independent judgment and decision-making as well as consultation and collaboration with other members of the health care team. You would enhance the continuity of quality patient care; amplify communication between the physician, family members, and the health care team; and extend the capabilities of the medical care team. As a Psychiatric Consult Liaison Nurse Practioner, you will provide consultations with Main Line Health's Acute Care Hospital's that are admitted to medical units.

Position: Per Diem, Nurse Practitioner, NP - Psychiatric Consult Liaison
Shift: Per Diem, minimum 2 shifts per month and various shift times including day and night coverage

Experience: 
1. Two years Nurse Practitioner experience in hospital-based Psychiatric setting preferred.
2. A minimum of two years nursing experience in specific clinical area preferred.
3. New to practice can be considered with sufficient inpatient psychiatric rotations.

Education: 
1. Completion of an Nurse Practitioner program required.
2. MSN required.

Licensures/Certifications: 
1. Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
2. Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification required.
3. BLS certification required.
4. ACLS certification required.
5. Additional certifications specific to specialty may be required or preferred. Refer to the specialty addendum.
6. Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
