Position Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end operational execution for an assigned Fluid Solution branch location. This role ensures operational excellence, cost discipline, inventory health, service consistency, branch financials, and safety in alignment with PSS Industrial Group’s commitment to reliability and customer value creation.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, data-driven leader with strong cross-functional instincts and a passion for developing people and processes that scale. This individual will partner closely with sales, procurement, and service teams to optimize inventory, improve delivery performance, and expand branch capabilities in support of local growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Own branch-level performance KPIs, including on-time delivery, order accuracy, productivity, and safety.
- Execute and reinforce company operating procedures, safety standards, and compliance protocols at the branch level.
- Lead daily branch operations across receiving, warehousing, fulfillment, delivery coordination, and customer support.
- Maintain a high standard of branch readiness, organization, and operational discipline.
Inventory & Supply Chain
- Manage branch inventory health, turns, and accuracy.
- Identify slow-moving or excess inventory to improve working capital and inventory productivity.
- Partner with procurement and sales to ensure the right product mix and stocking strategy for the branch.
- Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, process discipline, and ongoing review of branch demand patterns.
Service Execution & Expansion
- Ensure consistent, high-quality execution of branch-supported services such as prefabrication, calibration, rentals, and other value-added offerings, where applicable.
- Support implementation of new service offerings and pilot programs at the branch level.
- Coordinate with technical leaders and subject matter experts to build branch capability and service readiness.
Team Development & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop branch employees and frontline operational leads.
- Drive accountability through clear metrics, regular check-ins, and performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and operational ownership.
- Build a team environment that reflects company values and high-performance expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the operational counterpart to branch and regional sales leadership.
- Align closely with finance, procurement, service teams, and regional operations on branch priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Support customer growth by ensuring branch operational readiness for cross-selling, service expansion, and bundled solutions.
- Assist with integration of new processes, systems, or acquisitions as needed.
Branch Performance & Customer Support
- Monitor branch profitability drivers, controllable costs, and operational efficiency.
- Address service issues quickly and professionally to protect customer relationships and branch credibility.
- Ensure the branch delivers a consistent customer experience through urgency, accuracy, and follow-through.

Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in branch operations, distribution, warehouse leadership, or industrial service management.
- Experience in industrial distribution, construction services, supply chain, or a related operational environment preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams and execute in a fast-paced branch environment.
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills; Lean or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
- Experience managing inventory, service execution, and day-to-day branch operations.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational leadership skills.
- Comfortable using ERP, WMS, and CRM systems for operational insight and performance management.
- Experience in Pipe, Valves, and Fittings (PVF) or a similar industrial product category is preferred.
