About being our Senior Construction Manager
As a Senior Construction Manager, you'll play a crucial role within Psomas' Program and Construction Management Team, focusing on high-impact projects in San Diego. You'll manage key assignments related to bridges, highways, water facilities, parks, open space, and coastal projects. This is a full-time role on a high-profile program and includes civil, mechanical, electrical and structural elements.
Responsibility Highlights for our Construction Manager
- Serve as primary owner representative overseeing, performing, and coordinating daily construction management activities to monitor that the project is constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budget and schedule
- Resolve daily construction issues and lead interactions with clients, designers, contractors and regulatory agencies
- Oversee field construction, contract administration, and manage staff and subcontractors
- Administer contracts, review schedules, document project progress, and respond to claims from the contractor, and answer requests for information, submittals, and change orders
- Facilitate project success by resolving issues fairly and effectively
Minimum Qualifications to be our Construction Manager
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- 15 years of experience managing construction or engineering for public works projects
- Active California Professional Engineering (PE) License
- Knowledge of the construction process and the ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Proven success at developing and winning projects with clients

- A competitive salary! The expected range for this position is $175,000 - $205,000/salary depending on experience. Compensation may be adjusted for well qualified candidates
