Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems for order processing and payment handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food prep stations, dining areas, and equipment, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and supporting overall restaurant operations.
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales opportunities.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment use.
- Support team members during peak hours by managing multiple tasks efficiently with good time management skills.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- Experience with upselling and sales techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be at least 18 years old or older depending on local regulations for food service employment.
