Tyrol Basin ski & snowboard area near Mount Horeb, WI is looking for hardworking & snow-loving people who enjoy working with all ages, to join our team this upcoming winter season as a Snow Sports Instructor!
This person is responsible for Providing safe, fun and knowledgeable snow sports experiences. The Ideal candidate has experience skiing or snowboarding, some experience in customer service (not required), and loves working with children. This position requires time-management, positive energy, the ability to adapt to change and willingness to learn. This candidate will have the ability to uphold values and policies set forth by Tyrol Basin Ownership and Management. Tyrol Ski School is a PSIA/AASI member school and training/certification opportunities will be available.
Responsibilities
Teaching ski or snowboard lessons
Treating guests and other members of staff with respect
Answering lesson questions and offering lesson advice
Maintains the cleanliness standards upheld by the resort and resort management
Assisting clients with putting on ski/snowboard equipment
Taking part in necessary training to improve teaching and movement skills
Communicating with the Assistant Ski School Director and Ski School Director
This position runs from early December through the end of winter season (usually early to mid- March) Our Ski School hours of operation vary based on weather, time-of-year, special events, lesson programs, etc. but are usually 11am-7pm Monday-Friday and 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday. This is a part-time or full-time seasonal position as applicants can expect to work between 15-40 hours per week.
Tyrol Basin is a fun place to work, with regular interaction with members of the public in lessons and also not in lessons. Benefits include free season ski/snowboard passes for employees, apparel discounts, guest lift ticket privileges, food discounts and more!
