Womens retailer seeking an experienced Store Designer to support the development and execution of compelling, on-brand retail environments across North American locations. This role translates established design standards and creative concepts into store-specific layouts and design solutions while ensuring consistency, functionality, and compliance with local codes and requirements.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in retail store design, excellent technical design skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop floor plans, storefront elevations, 3D models, renderings, and presentation materials to communicate store design solutions.
• Translate established brand standards and design concepts into site-specific retail environments.
• Ensure designs adhere to overall design guidelines, brand strategy, functional requirements, and applicable local codes.
• Create and review architectural drawings, design documentation, and shop drawings for accuracy and adherence to established standards.
• Direct and coordinate with third-party consultants to complete design deliverables within established schedules and budgets.
• Partner with internal and external teams to ensure cohesive project execution from initial design through implementation.
• Collaborate with Construction, Purchasing, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations to deliver functional and visually compelling retail environments.
• Maintain design integrity while addressing operational, construction, budget, and site-specific requirements.
• Identify potential issues that could impact project schedules, costs, or design execution and proactively recommend solutions.
• Respond quickly to evolving business needs, new store design prototypes, material developments, and project requirements.
• Manage multiple store design projects simultaneously across various stages of the project lifecycle.
• Maintain awareness of current retail, architectural, and interior design trends.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 3-5 years of professional design experience, preferably supporting retail store design, commercial interiors, or branded environments.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD required.
• Technical proficiency with SketchUp, Bluebeam, Enscape, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Strong 3D modeling, rendering, sketching, and presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate design concepts.
• Ability to create, read, interpret, and review architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, details, and shop drawings.
• Strong understanding of retail design standards, materials, finishes, and construction documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with architects, consultants, construction teams, visual merchandising, store operations, and other cross-functional partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while adapting quickly to changing project and business needs.
