The role of Controls Technician is to troubleshoot, repair, and ensure reliability of equipment, PLC’s and Robotics. Technicians will work safely and cohesively to provide mechanical and electrical skills to support the building, manufacturing equipment, and support equipment as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

The role of Controls Technician is to troubleshoot, repair, and ensure reliability of equipment, PLC’s and Robotics. Technicians will work safely and cohesively to provide mechanical and electrical skills to support the building, manufacturing equipment, and support equipment as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the preventive maintenance system for all company assets using a CMMS.
- Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to improve maintenance planning and machine effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the following equipment:
- Packaging Equipment, Conveyors, Palletizers
- PLCs - Troubleshoot and modify Allen Bradley RSLogix
- HMI's, Servo Motors, and Drives
- Gearboxes, Valves
- Power Transmission (gears, chains, etc)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience troubleshooting PLC’s in a manufacturing setting
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical school, course work or degree is a plus
- Welding experience considered a plus
