The IT Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for Implementing an enterprise-wide data governance framework for master data management, with a focus on the improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization data standards, principles, governance metrics, data processes, and data architecture. In support of the enterprise-wide data governance framework, the position will implement policies, procedures, documentation, training, and controls that fit within the data governance model and framework and that guarantee enterprise data quality, data availability, usability, integrity, and security. The position will also manage the Database Management Systems administration and ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) operational processes for work intake, work prioritization, ensuring data quality, and ensuring customer data outcomes are met. Included in the operational processes is managing the Database Management System patching vendor relationship and Database Management Systems support activity. Responsibility for the ETL operational processes includes working with the business owners to ensure data structure designs meet current and future needs, reviewing business requests for data and data usage to determine the appropriate data sources, and monitoring ETL processes to support continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality.

In this position, you will
- Data Architecture Design: Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture, encompassing data models, data flows, and data integration patterns. Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support business requirements and enable efficient data management and analytics.
- Develop Data Governance Framework: Establish and facilitate a Data Governance Committee comprising key stakeholders from business, IT, and compliance functions. Design and implement a comprehensive data governance framework aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Establish data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance in data management practices.
- Metadata Management: Lead efforts in metadata management to catalog, classify, and govern metadata assets effectively. Develop metadata standards and taxonomies to facilitate data discovery, lineage tracking, and impact analysis. Implement metadata repositories and tools to centralize metadata management practices.
- Data Quality Management: Oversee data quality initiatives to monitor, measure, and improve the quality of data across all systems and processes. Implement data quality metrics and establish processes for data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment to maintain high standards of data accuracy and completeness.
- Change Management and Communication: Develop and execute change management strategies to promote data governance awareness and adoption across the organization. Conduct training programs, workshops, and communications to educate stakeholders on data governance principles, best practices, and policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data governance processes and controls. Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in data governance practices, tools, and technologies. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data governance maturity and effectiveness.
- Data Analytics and Business Intelligence: Support data analytics and business intelligence initiatives by designing data mart and data warehouse architectures, developing dimensional models, and optimizing data structures for analytical processing and reporting. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to derive insights from data and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to understand data requirements, priorities, and challenges. Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on data architecture, providing guidance and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and investment in data management technologies.
