What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer position at PSE Designs?
PSE Designs, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and self-driven engineer to join our
Mobile, Alabama Office. Depending on the candidate, we may allow this position to be filled in
our Sylacauga, Alabama office, with some travel between offices as needed.
The ideal candidate is someone seeking excellent growth potential and is willing to work to
develop and expand our civil engineering services. This is not a position requiring equipment
design experience.
- Civil Engineer with 2-4 years of experience, preferably with at least some experience in
the consulting engineering field (Educational experience does not qualify)
- Degree in civil engineering
- Experience with site design and drainage calculations
- Experience in stormwater system designs (open channel and underground piping)
- Experience with erosion control and stormwater BMP
- Experience with parking lot layout and minor road design
- Experience with permitting paperwork and submittals to local governments
- Experienced and proficient with AutoCAD 2D
- Experience and proficiency in Revit would be a plus
- Experience and proficiency in Civil 3D would be a plus
- Experienced and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- This position will require preparing calculations, designs, reports, and drawings for both
industrial and commercial projects
- This position will require providing technical advice on designs and construction
- Ideally, this candidate would operate out of the Mobile Office
- We will consider applicants for this position out of the Sylacauga office as well
- Must be physically capable of performing field duties
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is required
- Professional Engineering License Not Required, but would be a plus
- The applicant will have the opportunity to work directly with a licensed engineer if
the applicant is looking to further their career and obtain a PE license
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in project management would be a plus
- Anticipated Salary $60,000 - $90,000 based on qualifications for the position
- MUST be licensed to work in the US. Employer will not cover the cost of an H1B Visa
