Role Description This is a full-time, on-site and multi-site Porter role based in Philadelphia, PA. The Porter will help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of residential and commercial properties, including common areas, lobbies, hallways, restrooms, stairwells, and exterior grounds. Daily tasks may include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash and recycling removal, light maintenance support, and reporting any building issues or safety concerns to the property management team. The Porter will assist with seasonal upkeep such as snow removal, leaf cleanup, and exterior tidiness, as well as help prepare units and common spaces for move-ins, move-outs, and special events. This role also involves interacting with residents, visitors, and vendors in a professional, courteous manner, helping to ensure a welcoming and secure environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively and respectfully with residents, visitors, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to serve as a Gatekeeper for the property, including monitoring access, greeting guests, and reporting unusual activity or safety concerns.
- Willingness to participate in Training and Education related to property procedures, safety protocols, and company standards.
- Previous experience in facilities, janitorial, custodial, hospitality, or property maintenance roles is preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time on-site, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
