Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Assistant Property Manager with enthusiasm and expertise. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of resident retention and leasing activities, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service to current and prospective tenants. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, real estate administrative processes, and negotiations, all while maintaining a lively and motivating approach to team leadership. Responsibilities

  • Oversee resident management the entire leas ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Supports lease renewal efforts and rent collection processes by tracking upcoming expirations, assisting with renewal outreach, and following up on delinquent accounts to ensure timely payments and sustained occupancy.
  • Maintain detailed records using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite, including data entry, filing, and contract management.
  • Ensure compliance with all Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, and local landlord-tenant laws during leasing activities.
  • Conduct property tours for prospective tenants, highlighting key features and benefits while addressing questions professionally via phone or in person.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate property upkeep and address tenant concerns promptly.
  • Manage legal administrative tasks related to lease agreements, contracts, and legal documentation while adhering to legal standards.
  • Handle conflict management situations with tact and professionalism, fostering positive relationships with tenants and team members alike.
  • Utilize office experience skills such as phone etiquette, customer relationship management (CRM), and facilities management to enhance tenant satisfaction.
  • Engage in regular training on industry tools like CMMS systems, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 policies to stay current on best practices.

Experience

  • Proven experience in property leasing or property management roles with a focus on residential or commercial properties.
  • Strong knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, and related federal housing policies.
  • Proficiency in property management software such as Entrata for data entry, reporting, and lease administration.
  • Demonstrated understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal contract procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations effectively through conflict management techniques.
  • Office experience involving filing, data entry, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions.
  • Ability to negotiate lease terms, renewals and collections confidently.
  • Experience working with facilities management teams or coordinating property maintenance efforts is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
