PSC Industries, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor at our Evansville, IN location to oversee daily operations on the production floor. This role is critical to ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on leadership position in a manufacturing environment. As a Production Supervisor, you’ll be actively involved in day-to-day operations, which means some days will be physically demanding—you’ll get dirty, and the plant can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
You’ll ensure production goals are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency. You’ll participate in daily and weekly meetings, and be involved in all aspects of team management—from scheduling and training to performance and policy enforcement.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Train operators to run the machines
- Become forklift certified
- Make sure work orders are out for production to work on
- Adhere to our shipping days for customers and make sure their product is ready to ship
- Follow quality SOPs and ensure everyone in the department is following them
- Ensure operators are using the correct materials in production
- Make daily and weekly time corrections for your employees in KRONOS
- Ensure the department follows 5s requirements
- Complete workorders after production has run them
- Ensure employees are working safely in the department
- Ensure you are meeting your KPIs
- Minor repair to the dies we use when needed
- Hold your employees accountable for their actions through disciplinary actions when needed
- Work with the customer service department for customer needs
- Work well with others
- Be a leader
- Make decisions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of safety standards and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
