Your Role

We are hiring a Metrology Coordinator to join our team! The Metrology Coordinator is a process control and client service expert responsible for ensuring the metrology lab and on-site services operate efficiently, remain audit-ready, and deliver exceptional client satisfaction. This role bridges quality systems, service coordination, and revenue growth for a metrology lab and equipment rental company.

• Perform and assist with metrology standard calibrations, repairs, troubleshooting, and lab calibration station setup.
  
• Maintain metrology lab facilities, environmental controls, peripherals, and required building, fire, and elevator certifications.
  
• Coordinate monthly metrology recalls, tracking, and related accounting activities.
  
• Prepare and execute rental equipment work orders, scheduling, and equipment availability tracking.
  
• Coordinate vendor calibrations, repairs, and service timelines.
  
• Track equipment shipping and receiving to ensure asset visibility and control.
  
• Prepare service quotations and support invoice acceleration with Metrology Manager approval.
  
• Provide complete service documentation to clients and internal stakeholders.
  
• Manage and respond to service requests while improving promised delivery dates.
  
• Deliver regular status updates to the Metrology Lab Manager and clients.
  
• Conduct client follow-ups and administer service satisfaction and feedback surveys.
  
• Support initiatives to increase rental equipment efficiency, availability, and departmental ROI.
  
• Support expansion of ISO/IEC 17025 accredited scope and metrology service capabilities.
  
• Maintain ISO/IEC 17025 compliance through documentation control, traceability, uncertainty budgets, and continuous audit readiness.
  
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the Metrology Manager.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  
• Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, measurement traceability, and uncertainty principles.
  
• Experience supporting calibration programs, metrology labs, or equipment rental operations.
  
• Ability to perform and support calibrations and troubleshoot measurement standards.
  
• Strong organizational skills with experience coordinating schedules, vendors, and documentation.
  
• Client-facing experience with a focus on service quality and satisfaction.
  
• Proficiency with work orders, service documentation, and tracking systems.
  
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently while operating under defined managerial approvals.
  
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Adhering to the requirements of California's law on pay transparency, the hourly bracket for this role is set between $25 - $30. The salary offered may be adjusted based on various factors such as the applicant's qualifications, skills, and professional experience.
