Job description:

Position Details:

• Job Type: Independent Contractor
• Pay: $24– $27 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement
• Expected Hours: 10–40 hours per week (flexible, based on assignment availability)
• Location: Wenatchee, Moses Lake, and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate supervised visits in accordance with court orders and referral requirements
• Ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment for children and families
• Observe, document, and submit accurate electronic visit notes in a timely manner
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all client interactions and documentation
• Manage and respond to crises and safety concerns as they arise
• Collaborate with team members to support positive and appropriate family interactions
• Complete required documentation and maintain organized records of services provided
• Participate in ongoing learning to support professional development and service quality

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or higher
• Minimum of 12 months documented paid or volunteer experience working with children
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle available for daily use
• Ability to provide a 3-year driving abstract
• Ability to pass a DCYF background check
• Availability for evenings and weekends as needed
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills

Independent Contractor Requirements (Washington State Compliant):

• Operate as an independently established business (LLC or equivalent strongly preferred)
• Maintain all required state and local business licenses
• Submit a completed W-9 prior to providing services
• Maintain personal responsibility for all taxes, insurance, and business expenses
• Maintain commercial auto insurance as required by agency policy
• Provide necessary tools, supplies, and equipment to perform services

Independence & Work Structure:

• Contractors have the ability to accept or decline assignments
• Work is assigned on a per-referral basis and is not guaranteed
• Contractors maintain discretion in how services are delivered, within court and safety requirements
• This role does not establish an employer-employee relationship
