Upholstery Specialist
Overview:
PS Furniture/Palmer Snyder, an Employee-Owned manufacturer of commercial furniture, is seeking a skilled Upholstery Specialist to join our team. PS Furniture is composed of two brand identities – PS Furniture (business and institutional) and Palmer Snyder (event/rental) – that follow from the distinct vertical markets that it serves. This role will assist in finishing our iconic Acton, Nima, and Mum seating lines, known for their durability and craftsmanship. This role involves measuring, cutting, and applying fabrics and padding to furniture frames, ensuring each piece meets our stringent quality standards. No sewing required. A “Team Leader” position is possible for applicants with sufficient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Upholster Acton, Nima, and Mum seating using precision techniques and industry-standard tools.
- Perform quality checks and minor repairs to ensure flawless finishes.
- Assist in material preparation and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Collaborate with the office to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency (Team Leader).
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with general upholstery tools and processes.
- Commercial or Automotive upholstery experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical training in upholstery is a plus.
- Supervisory experience preferred (Hands-on supervisor or Team Leader)
