Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Plant Specification Engineer is a Key role for succession planning and Design engineering support in Marshall – Support SAP, TOI, EOG, BOMs, Routers, Construction Changes, Reel Calculations, Cable Builder, no process redundancy/backup-desperately needed.

Job Duties
- Review customer's specification for quality & technical information
- Review clarifications and/or exceptions for completeness and accuracy
- Configure cable products and finalize packaging requirements
- Prepare and/or obtain cost estimates for cable products
- Transfer engineering information to appropriate Quotation, Order Processing and Manufacturing computer systems
- Responsible for maintaining an accurate routing and bill of material system
- Managing internal and external engineering change notices (ECN's) in a timely fashion
- Act as local/plant Information Technology contact
- Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of:

Quality requirements
- Demonstrate adequate working knowledge of personal computers and running the various engineering support computer programs
- Demonstrate highest degree of accuracy and attentiveness to technical detail
- Show an awareness of profit in executing the position responsibilities
- Practice effective and courteous verbal and written communication with company associates at the plant and other locations
- Demonstrate ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
Education -
- BS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or Associates degree (Technologist) with equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of electrical industry related employment preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office and databases
- Basic working knowledge of ERP or ISO quality systems
