Role snapshot

Own the lab testing lifecycle that fuels product development—plan and run experiments, maintain and calibrate equipment, and turn results into actionable insights that advance our wire, cable, and fiber offerings.

A week in this role

• Design, execute, and analyze laboratory experiments to support new product development, product qualification, and continuous improvement.
• Convert data into clear technical reports with methods, results, interpretations, and recommendations.
• Keep meticulous laboratory records aligned with quality system requirements.
• Coordinate and communicate certification results and technical findings with external agencies such as UL, CSA, and DLA.
• Support, maintain, and elevate the ISO 17025 quality management system.
• Lead and contribute to Design of Experiments (DOE) and structured problem-solving efforts.
• Advise project teams on fit-for-purpose test methods, validation strategies, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop, validate, and document new test methods, procedures, templates, and laboratory best practices.
• Work independently while guiding laboratory technicians to hit milestones and outcomes.
• Champion lab safety, good housekeeping, and continuous improvement.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience within ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 quality systems.
• 2 years in an industrial or R&D lab running calibrations, managing test schedules, and executing procedures.
• Background in the wire & cable or fiber optic industry is strongly preferred.
