  • Develop and refine test methods, SOPs, and material evaluation procedures.
  • Interpret data, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to engineering, quality, and operations teams.
  • Participate in plant trials, troubleshoot material‑related problems, and recommend improvements to formulations or processes.
  • Maintain lab equipment, ensure data integrity, and uphold safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal customers across multiple plants and business units to support ongoing projects and long‑term development initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or Materials/Polymer Engineering.
  • Hands‑on experience with material or polymer testing and characterization.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a lab and plant environment.
  • Clear communication skills for reporting results and partnering with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of industrial experience in materials, polymers, or related fields.
  • Experience with cable, wire, plastics, extrusion, or compounding environments.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytical tools (FT‑IR, DSC, TGA, SEM, DMA, XRF).
  • Background supporting manufacturing troubleshooting or process improvement.
  • Experience developing or updating test methods, SOPs, or material specifications.
