Discover how you can Make Your Mark at Prysmian Group

A Day in This Role

You start the morning scanning dashboards of asset health, spotting a vibration spike on a critical production line. By mid-morning you’re leading a root cause session, translating complex findings into clear actions. After lunch, you meet with Automation, Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to align on a Management of Change proposal for a new piece of equipment—making sure it’s reliable and maintainable from day one. You close the day by prioritizing a portfolio of projects to eliminate chronic failures and lift uptime across the plant.

What You’ll Do
  • Champion reliability improvement, providing hands-on technical leadership and guidance.
  • Drive reliability excellence initiatives and deliver projects that lift overall equipment effectiveness and availability.
  • Analyze production losses and high maintenance spend to target bad actors and reduce repeat failures.
  • Lead failure investigations; identify true root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Shape Maintenance strategies—build and refine PM and PdM programs using tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonics, and oil analysis.
  • Participate in Management of Change activities for new or modified equipment to ensure maintainability and reliability from the outset.
  • Work closely with technical and operations teams to mitigate recurring breakdowns through data-driven strategies.
  • Maximize equipment performance with a focus on: employee safety, high availability/uptime, and readiness for strategic growth.
  • Collaborate daily with Automation, Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to resolve near-term issues and plan long-term improvements.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or maintenance.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred; practical experience with 6S, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence.
  • Advanced data analysis capability and familiarity with statistical methods.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with a track record of coordinating diverse teams.
  • Change agent mindset—energetic, positive, and effective in driving adoption.
  • Strong organizational skills with disciplined prioritization.
  • Robust mechanical/electrical aptitude; skilled in problem-solving frameworks such as RCA, FMEA, and 5-Why.
  • Decisive and thoughtful under pressure; able to navigate complexity and rapid change.
  • Able to deliver constructive feedback and distill complex topics into clear, actionable steps; confident facilitator and presenter.
Work Environment

Expect a dynamic setting with multiple concurrent projects and firm deadlines. You’ll support a range of departments and shift quickly as priorities evolve.

  • Exposure to dust, oil, grease, heat/humidity, fumes, and noise at times.
  • Use of appropriate PPE in manufacturing areas (safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection as required).
  • Occasional entry into walled containment areas and access to roofs; conditions may be uncomfortably hot or cold at times.
Accessibility

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
