What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping position at Prysmian Group?

Shift: 7 am - 7 pm
Position Description:
- Meet or exceed production goals as established for the shift worked.
- Maintain attendance as defined in current published employee handbook.
- Ensure all products meet requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems.
- Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
- Compliance to all operating procedures.
- Accountable for final packaging of quality product. Understanding of the SAP operating system to a level that allows he/she to maintain transactional integrity in daily role
- Ability to obtain/retain forklift certification
- Work to maintain 5S/safety standards.
- Accurate loading of finished, packaged product.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.
- Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Experience: Ability to complete cross training OJT for Cutline Associate Position in a timely manner. Experience in cable manufacturing or handling/packaging/loading of fiber optic cable.
Skills/Attributes:
- Ability to safely and adequately package and load fiber optic cable
- Discipline to load with consistent best practices
