What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Prysmian Group?
- Answer and transfer incoming calls for the company using a multi-line phone system.
- Greet and assist guests and employees upon arrival and during facility tours.
- Maintain an up-to-date phone directory for corporate and manufacturing locations across North America.
- Manage temporary badge access in alignment with company security protocols.
- Oversee supply orders for the corporate office and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Place purchase orders and coordinate with the mailroom and manufacturing plants to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Manage vendor services for the corporate location, including scheduling and service tracking.
- Maintain a detailed list of purchase requisitions and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Coordinate conference room bookings and ensure meeting spaces are properly maintained.
- Support general administrative tasks and assist departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French) is a plus.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Office-based role with frequent interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- May require occasional lifting of office supplies or packages (up to 25 lbs).
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
