Overview:

The Lebanon Distribution Center Supervisor is a strategic partner to the Facility Manager and will be responsible for leading operations at Prysmian’s Lebanon Distribution Center. This position will oversee the Team Leads and the employees within the various departments and shifts. The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for achieving all productivity, quality, service, and cost objectives identified for the facility. They will also be responsible for ensuring all health, safety, and environmental standards are met, executing training plans for hourly associates, and leading continuous improvement projects.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for managing multiple teams and work zones across three shifts.

  • You are responsible for safety outcomes by leading safety incident investigations, sharing safety incidents from other facilities with the team, and ensuring the identified risks of those incidents are reviewed and mitigated at the Lebanon facility.

  • You will collaborate with the EHS team to ensure safety programs are implemented drive incident prevention.

  • You will be accountable for ensuring all quality KPIs are met by implementing systemic fixes and approving process changes that impact accuracy and driving root cause investigations and approving inventory adjustments.

  • You will be responsible for removing bottlenecks, updating targets and holding teams accountable to production goals.

  • You will collaborate with HR to interview, hire, train, and develop all associates.

  • You will collaborate with the Inside Sales Associates at our Corporate Office to ensure customer orders are shipped according to customer requirements and due dates.

  • You will collaborate with Quality Managers from other facilities to minimize escapes of non-conforming product and to enhance process controls and workmanship to meet customer quality requirements.

  • You will be responsible for determining appropriate skill sets for operators and define training schedules to maintain skill levels.

  • Perform additional duties as required by the Facility.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Good team player, ability to coach, mentor and influence team members.

  • Proactively drives facility goals, takes initiative to improve performance, and follows through to completion.

  • Ability to implement a plan and develop necessary support at all levels of the organization.

  • Good interpersonal, listening and presentation skills.

  • Ability to take new ideas and design an effective solution and then train others to assure successful implementation and ongoing improvement results.

  • Willingness to learn new technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related technical field preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment; including employee hiring and retention, performance management and employee discipline.

  • Experience and knowledge of material handling equipment.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams collaboratively working toward common goals.

  • Excellent communications skills, inter-personal skills, and time management skills.

  • Experience with Office Suite, SAP and Blue Yonder Preferred.
