What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook/Cashier position at Prufrock Pizzeria?
Prufrock Pizzeria is a rock-and-roll inspired pizza spot located inside the iconic Regent Theater in Downtown LA. We’re all about great food, good vibes, and live music energy. We’re looking for a part-time Cook who’s not only comfortable in the kitchen but can also jump on the register, greet guests, and keep the front-of-house running smoothly. If you love music, pizza, and working in a fun, fast-paced environment, this is for you!
Duties
- Prepare pizzas, sides, and other menu items with consistency and care
- Prepare dough, sauce, toppings, and other prep work as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Take guest orders, handle cashiering duties, and process payments
- Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming vibe
- Assist with opening, closing, and general cleaning tasks
- Work closely with the team during busy show nights and events
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of pizza making experience
- Comfortable working both in the kitchen and front of house
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to stay cool in a fast-paced setting
- Great attitude, reliability, and team-player mindset
- Able to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and event nights
