Job Summary
Retail Sales Associates responsibilities include all aspects of retail-side activities, requiring high levels of customer interaction, selling our products, responding to customer questions on products and service needs, associated inventory/warehouse management and organization, and perform other related work as required.

General Responsibilities
· Greeting and assisting customers in person and on the phone in the selling of all products - including pool and spa chemicals, pool and spa maintenance equipment, spas, above ground pools and other associated products.
· Using our software for gathering customer information, checking inventory and performing point-of-sale transactions – including credit card, check and cash management including opening and closing of the register.
· Maintaining the store and external surroundings in a clean and organized condition, stocking, cleaning and other housekeeping activities as required.
· Following-up with customers as required.
· Conducting water testing and recommending chemicals needed to properly balance the customer’s pool or spa.
· Preparing service orders and special orders, , ordering and receiving products from vendors.
· Accomplishing inventory/warehouse activities include receiving and checking-in/stocking deliveries, ordering, shipping and receiving.
· Must be presentable and dressed appropriately for the work performed.
· Must be dependable and reliable to fulfill the requirements of the position.
Qualifications
· Relevant retail sales experience desirable.
· Some mechanical aptitude preferred.
· Experience and knowledge in use of hand tools and small power tools.
· Use of measuring devices such as tape measures.
· Ability to perform basic math.
· Knowledge of safe working practices.
· Ability to use a step ladder is required.
· Must be able to use a computer for the many activities that require such ability including, customer information management, email, use of browser for researching customer addresses, web searching for problem solving in the field and documenting work performed.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs., such as lifting sand and salt bags when stocking or assisting fellow staff and customers in loading their vehicles.
· Possess problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and possess transportation to drive to and from work.
· Must be 21 years of age to fulfill insurance qualifications.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
