Lead Operating Engineer / Industrial Maintenance

Prudential Overall Supply, a leader in uniform and textile rental services for over 90 years, is seeking a hands-on maintenance leader This is a Maintenance Supervisor-level role responsible for leading day-to-day maintenance operations in a fast-paced industrial production environment. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall plant performance.

• Lead, support, and develop a team of maintenance technicians in a production environment


• Oversee and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability


• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, including washers, dryers, conveyors, boilers, and automated systems


• Prioritize and manage multiple maintenance requests to ensure timely response and minimal downtime


• Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and external vendors/contractors


• Maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance system (CMMS)


• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational regulations


• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency


• Occasionally support off-shift or weekend projects, as needed

• 3 years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing, laundry, food processing, or similar environment)


• 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience


• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems


• Experience working with PLC-driven or automated equipment preferred


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams


• Experience with CMMS systems, vendor coordination, and maintenance planning preferred


• Proficient in the use of power tools, forklifts, manlifts, and hand tools


• High School Diploma or GED required


• Applicable military experience is strongly considered

• Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Lead


• Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (with leadership responsibilities)


• Manufacturing Maintenance Technician (Senior/Lead level)


• Operating Engineer with industrial production equipment experience

• Fast-paced industrial laundry and production setting


• Exposure to heat, noise, and moving mechanical equipment


• Combination of hands-on technical work and team leadership
